Embark on a Maritime Adventure with Portugal in Sid Meier's Civilization VI
Take the helm of Portugal in Sid Meier's Civilization VI, led by João III, and dive into a maritime adventure marked by unique abilities, units, and structures. With an emphasis on international trade, navigation, and confronting the undead menace, Portugal offers a distinctive gameplay experience.
Unique Features of Portugal:
Civ Unique Ability - "Casa Da Índia": Portugal excels in International Trade Routes, greatly boosting their yields. However, these routes are limited to coastal cities or those with Harbors. Additionally, Traders receive extra range and the ability to embark on water tiles as soon as they're unlocked.
Leader Unique Ability - "Porta Do Cerco": João III enhances the sight range of all units and expands the Trade Route capacity whenever Portugal encounters a new civilization. Furthermore, Portugal enjoys Open Borders with all city-states.
Unique Unit - Nau: Portugal's naval melee unit replaces the Caravel. Naus start with one free Promotion, require less maintenance, and possess two charges for constructing Feitorias, specialized shipping ports unique to Portugal.
Unique Infrastructure:
Navigation School: Replacing the University, this building in Portuguese cities increases Production towards naval units. It also augments a city's Science yields based on the number of coastal or lake tiles within its borders and generates additional Great Admiral points.
Feitoria: Built by a Nau unit on a foreign city's coastal tile next to a luxury or bonus resource. Sending a Trade Route to a city with a Feitoria yields extra Gold and Production for Portugal.
New "Zombies Defense" Game Mode:
The Portugal pack introduces the thrilling Zombies Defense game mode, where the relentless undead pose an ever-growing threat to civilizations. In this mode:
Units have a chance to revive as Zombies upon death.
Zombies relentlessly attack the nearest non-Zombie unit and convert those they slay into Zombies.
New trap and barricade improvements inflict damage on hostile units passing through or near them, providing effective defenses.
Two projects allow players to temporarily control Zombie units within their city's limits.
The "Zombie Outbreak" spy operation aims to spawn Zombies in an opponent's city.
Additional Add-ons:
Wetlands Map Script: Traverse a Marsh-dominated map that presents strategic challenges and defensive opportunities.
Torre de Belém World Wonder: This historical ceremonial gateway to Lisbon enhances Gold and Great Admiral Points. It also benefits International Trade Routes embarking from the city.
Etemenanki World Wonder: Named after a Babylonian ziggurat, it provides continuous Science yields, and bonuses to Science and Production for Floodplains and Marsh tiles.
