RPG masters from Obsidian present Avowed, a first-player role-playing game that will let you embark on an epic adventure. Your journey takes you to Living Lands, a part of Eora, the world known from the Obsidian hit series Pillars of Eternity. The story begins when you, an envoy from the Aedyr Empire, are sent to a remote island to investigate a mysterious plague haunting the land.

The living land

A great RPG needs compelling characters. Therefore, on your path, you will meet colorful NPCs and possible companions who may join you, providing their unique abilities. The protagonist may have two party members at a time. Choose them wisely, and use their help to complete sidequests that will let you explore and understand this land better.

Face the danger

In terms of combat, Avowed gives players plenty of options, as you will have access to a wide range of magic spells as well as different weapons, including firearms and melee weapons. Combining different attacks will let you create devastating combos.

Release date and platforms

Avowed is available on PC and Xbox Series S|X. Obsidian and the game's publisher, Xbox Game Studios, announced that it would be released in the second half of 2024.
