Hazelight Studios officially announced Split Fiction at The Game Awards in 2024. The game premiered on March 6, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. The Switch 2 version was among the games accompanying the new Nintendo console release on June 5, 2025.
